September 17-20, 2017

Idealized to allow the Brazilian community of Statistical Physics, Dynamical Systems, and Complexity "to benefit from an event dedicated focused on these fields, and following the success of the first edition ( first edition ), the second Brazilian Meeting on Statistical Physics will be held in Ilhéus (BA, Brazil), from September 17 through September 20, 2017. This series of conferences aims to gather a significant fraction of the Brazilian statistical physics community to discussing high quality physics and the future trends of this field in Brazil. The event also aims to contribute to increase the degree of internationalization of the Brazilian institutions, promoting the direct contact with leading experts from other countries. The topics of interest include (but are not resctricted to):

  • Fundamental Aspects of Statistical Physics
  • Critical Phenomena
  • Non-equilibrium systems
  • Soft Matter
  • Statistical Physics in Condensed Matter Systems
  • Biologically motivated applications of statistical physics
  • Networks
  • Nonlinearity and Chaos
  • Population and Social Dynamics
  • Time series analysis
